What I Do To De-stress In My Free Time

I love nature and adventure! Rafting, hiking, backpacking, rock climbing and snuggling with my dog are some favorites.

My Work Style

I do not believe that autism in itself is problematic or wrong. I take a positive approach to neuro-divergence and believe there is a lot to learn from people with autism. I see the goal of intervention as helping someone grow into the best version of themself, not making them someone other than who they are. I value building alliance and rapport with the family and child and listen to their goals, wants and needs.

Areas of Expertise

Challenging behavior, verbal behavior, ESDM, CPRT, Classroom intervention, communication deficits, social skills, early intervention.

Why I Became a BCBA

I saw the impact the work can have when I was working in special education classrooms and a BCBA came to my room to offer consult and support. When I saw the progress the child was able to make with the behavior support I knew I had to know more!

What Previous Clients Would Say About Me

I am dedicated and passionate about seeing results and willing to keep working until we find a plan that works for the individual.

What I Love Most About What I Do

Seeing the child's life change and evolve as they gain more autonomy, power and a voice. I love helping children become the best versions of themselves and to develop their interests. I also love to empower families to feel better equipped to navigate their child's particular needs.

Most Challenging Professional Moment

A student kicked the windshield out of a van while I was driving it.

Most Rewarding Professional Moment

Hearing a child speak their very first word at 5 years old!
