My Work Style

I spend time getting to know a family and always ask what is one thing they would like to be able to do that they are not able to do now. I work hard to get to know the child and their interests well and to make our time together something they will look forward to! I break down the goals into small steps and work with the child and family to build the skills they need to be more successful. I understand families can be under a great amount of stress, so I try to bring hope and positivity into each session!

What I Do To De-stress In My Free Time

At home, I enjoy working puzzles, Netflix, and going for scenic walks. Living in Nashville makes it easy to get out to enjoy some live music or sporting events.

Why I Became a BCBA

I was introduced to ABA when I became a foster parent to a child with autism. After seeing the difference ABA made in his life, I began to learn more about behavior analysis and decided to become a BCBA to help other children and families reach their greatest potential.

What Previous Clients Would Say About Me

I have been told that I’m patient, collaborative, creative, and compassionate.

What I Love Most About What I Do

I love connecting with families and being able to help them get to a better place.

Most Challenging Professional Moment

My most challenging professional moment is when there is a lack of progress with therapy. This becomes especially challenging when the family is not consistently following the ABA treatment plan outside of sessions or are not following the treatment plan from their physician to manage psychiatric or medical conditions.

Most Rewarding Professional Moment

My most rewarding professional moment is when a family gets to a point where they are no longer homebound and are able to do those things that they did not think were possible.
