What I Do To De-stress In My Free Time

I have always been an athlete, and I need to do some sort of daily activity to help keep me grounded.

My Work Style

My goal as a clinician is to make clients feel comfortable and know that I am here, not only for their children, but also for them. Being a parent of a child with a disability can be very challenging and can make you feel as you are continuously fighting an uphill battle. I make it a point to always include and address the parent’s behaviors and concerns. To allow them a voice to express at times what it is like to be in their shoes. I also make it a point to help parents navigate difficult situations, specifically school related concerns. Lastly, that their children will be my main focus and providing positive outcomes for them is always the goal.

Why I Became a BCBA

Teaching has always been my strength, from coaching soccer at the age 13 to tutoring my younger brother. I started teaching at the age of 22 where I had my first encounter with Dr. Vince Carbone. Dr. Carbone exposed me to ABA very early in my career and I have not looked back since.

What Previous Clients Would Say About Me

That I am a caring, understanding, empathetic, Behavior Analyst, and that I focus on behaviors of the parents as much as I do of their children. In addition, my knowledge on how to navigate school systems is vast.

What I Love Most About What I Do

When I can give parents the chance to engage with their kid/family in social/community outings without any hesitation.

Most Challenging Professional Moment

Being a part of a team when delivering parents news that their child is exhibiting delays for the first time.

Most Rewarding Professional Moment

There are so many, but when my co-workers recognized the work that I provide and was honored for my services.
